Ether And The Voice: An Electronic Media Opera
Colleen Keough MFA Thesis Performance

Collenn is my a MFA student friend. I am so happy to see her Thesis Performance. Her work explores female persona and the collision of voice, language, technology and communication. In my performance and video work I investigate the psychological spaces surrounding the female voice and identity. I am also interested in the feminine in relation to nature and the mystery and phenomena of the natural world and organic consciousness.

Electronic Media Art Exhibition takes place--Jason Bernagozzi’s

Jason Bernagozzi’s new work is part of a continuing investigation into the relational aesthetics between the body and architecture. His work was shot in the tunnels and drainage sewers underneath Kansas City. To achieve the abstracted imagery, the artist processed the footage through an algorithmic visualization program called Jitter. By decoding the representational video image, he creates new relationships between the body and its environment as inseparable liminal spaces that the viewer can discover and explore. The sculptural way he presents this video also encourages the viewer to play with their own spacial reception to the work as an immersive experience.
